It is known for the historic Burka Coffee Estate, a large coffee plantation, as well as hotels, lodges, residential properties, and green surroundings that provide a quieter atmosphere away from the busy town centre. The area is also convenient for visitors travelling to northern Tanzania’s safari destinations. Burka is approximately 6–9 km from Arusha city centre, depending on the specific location, with a journey typically taking around 15–30 minutes by car depending on traffic
